Fehler ABC Deutsch-Englisch ist ein Trainingsprogramm, das
helfen soll, typische Fehler, die man als Deutscher häufig
macht, zu vermeiden.
„Ich liebe Dich trotz Deiner Fehler.” — „I love you in spite of your..?”
Heißt es nun „mistakes, faults oder defects?”
Es kann peinliche Folgen haben, wenn man hier das falsche
englische Wort gebrauchen würde.
Das Fehler ABC übt solche englischen Begriffe, die im Deutschen
gleich übersetzt werden, im Englischen aber eine unterschied-
liche Bedeutung haben Das Programm bietet verschieden
schwierige Übungsformen zum Lernen. Der ATARI-Computer ist
dabei Ihr Lehrer. Er wählt für Sie die optimale Lernstrategie aus,
gibt Ihnen immer eine Übersicht über Ihren Lernerfolg und sagt
Ihnen natürlich auch, ob Sie falsch oder richtig geantwortet
haben. Mit dem Fehler ABC Deutsch-Englisch werden Sie in
kurzer Zeit in jeder Situation das richtige Wort finden.
Das Programm wurde von ATARI zusammen mit dem Ernst
Klett Verlag entwickelt.

The first side of the first tape contains datas and voice : The voice is recorded on the left channel while datas are on the right channel.
The original quality is very poor : I don’t know what to blame between the quality of the tape, the original master or the original recording tools but the Atari failed to load the program quite often.
Each side has been carefully restored until each program can be « Cloaded ». As usual the first side was missing some « stop » marks on the data channel to synchronize the voice and the program. (These stop marks told the Atari if it should show the next screen or stop the tape while waiting for an answer.)
The tapes were also “copy protected” including a boot loader i had to remove.
29 hours of work were necessary for the 2 tapes so i hope you will appreciate the result 🙂
Tape 1 Side 1 : An unknown woman is speaking, i don’t think it’s Dagmar Berghoff as in “Programmieren leicht gemacht”, but the original recording quality doesn’t help to recognize the “narrator”.
Other translations : N/A How to run : Tape 1 Side 1 : Load .Wav in your emulator (Altirra), boot to Basic, CLOAD and RUN. Disable Cassette SIO Patch otherwise you’ll have synchronization troubles. Tape 1 Side 2 and Tape 2 (both sides) : Load .Cas in your emulator (Altirra), boot to Basic, CLOAD and RUN. Enable Cassette SIO Patch if you don’t want to wait.
